Upcoming Road Closures
The following streets will be closed between the hours of 7:00am - 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 12th.
• Smith Street (S Main St. to S 2nd St.)
• Davis Street (S Main St. to S 2nd St.)
• Cantwell St. (S 2nd St. to S 3rd St.)
Our
Public Works staff will perform a full-depth reclamation of bituminous surface. Temporary 'No Parking' signs will be installed Monday and removed once the work is completed. This work is in preparation of new bituminous pavement to be installed in July.
A full-depth reclamation grinds up the existing bituminous pavement and incorporates it into the aggregate base. This significantly improves the quality of the aggregate base leading to a longer-lasting bituminous surface while lowering the overall cost by recycling the materials on-site.
