The City of Le Sueur Transit Department | Connie's Background

Connie Swanson, manager of the Le Sueur Transit Department, has nearly 30 years experience in the field. She moved to Le Sueur in 1982 and began as a driver for Le Sueur Transit. Her innovative approaches to the Le Sueur Transit program led to her appointment as manager in 2000. She continually develops new ways to provide the citizens of Le Sueur with better, more cost-effective, and always more interesting ways to ride the bus.

In 2002, Connie won the Minnesota Public Transit Association's "Transit Professional of the Year" award, selected from over 100 transit managers across the state. The award is presented to "....the individual who has designed and implemented a specific program demonstrating innovative concepts or effective problem-solving techniques".
