Check around your neighborhood
  Do your neighbors have electricity? If they do, most likely the problem is inside your home.

Next, check around your home
  Do you have electricity in some rooms but not others?

• Check to see if the appliance is plugged in all the way and turned on.
• Check your fuse box or circuit breaker to see if there's a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

• During normal business hours (M-F, 8 am - 4 pm), your call will be answered by Utilities personnel directly.
• During NON business hours, the 24-hour answering service will take your call and notify emergency personnel.

4. Anything that is noticeably wrong, such as a tree branch on a power line, or wires lying on the ground. (Helping the electric crews identifying where a problem is will help shorten the outage time.)
