Planning / Zoning Department

What We Do:

The City of Le Sueur Planning and Zoning Department is responsible for comprehensive planning, zoning code updates, and zoning and land development approvals.  The Planning Director oversees the Planning Commission and the Board of Appeals and Adjustments.

How We Do It:

The Planning and Zoning Department is comprised of one Director and Administrative Support Staff.  The Planning & Zoning office is located within the Municipal City Hall Building at 203 South Second Street.  Applications for specific building and development activities that do not require review by the City Building Inspector may be dowloaded and returned via mail, email, fax or in person to the Planning and Zoning Director or the Support Staff at the front desk of City Hall .  All zoning applications require additional review by the Electric and Water/Wastewater Departments.  In some cases a review by the the Public Works Director is warranted.

How You Can Help:

Be aware of, and abide by, City Zoning Codes.  Should you have a specific question that is not addressed within this site, please call the Planning and Zoning Director at 507.665.6401.  Filling out any required applications in completion will expedite the process of receiving your permit approval.
