Aquatics

Housed within the Community Center is a six-lane pool, which is staffed for open swim, adult/lap swim, aquatic exercise classes, swim club, water walking, water polo, and learn to swim classes for both youth and adult learners.

The Sunday Open Swim and Family Swim offered at the Indoor Pool is only available from October through May.     

During the Summer months, we use our Outdoor Pool located at 155 South Park Lane for afternoon and evening swims in the summer sunshine!     

Daily fees or memberships apply the same as for other open activities.  Children 5 and under are free with a paying adult/parent.  Children must be at least 7 years of age to swim without and adult/guardian with them in the pool.

The Pool can be rented for private parties at $52.50 an hour.  If you have more than 25 swimmers, the rate will be $63.00 an hour.

Deep Water Aerobics

Brooke will lead you with energetic exercise, floatation belts are provided. If you have a floatation belt please bring it to class. Swimming ability is not required. Beginners are welcome, class is for teens and up.

Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program

The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program is a warm-water exercise program shown to reduce pain and improve overall health. Suitable for every fitness level, classes are held in a friendly and supportive environment that encourages social interaction among participants. Ability to swim not required.

Water Polo

Water Polo is a great way to relieve the stress of the day and focus on Fun! It’s a team thing; fun, challenging, and a great workout! Players are allowed to wear hydro belts if needed. Class is for teens and up. No instructor, Coed, drop in class

Swim Club

Le Sueur Swim Club It is time to take those skills you learned in swimming lessons and turn them into skills like Olympic swimmers! Our 6 week swim club program will work on enhancing your swimming skills while teaching you all about strokes, pulls, kicks, turns, and starts. We will start week 1 with skill testing to make sure that you are ready for swim club. Weeks 2 - 5 we will work hard on our swimming skills and week 6 we will have a swim meet to show off your swimming abilities. Class size limit is 25-sign up early! ** Must be able to swim at the American Red Cross Level 3 and be 7 years old.

Come to the Le Sueur Community Center for the best training and tips on how to be safe in, on, and around the water. All classes are staffed with trained Water Safety Instructors and Lifeguards. Limited space, register early. Your child’s spot in class will only be held after payment is received.

Level 1 Introduction to Water Skills

* Must be 5 years old by first day of class

Level 2 Fundamental Aquatic Skills

Submerging, front & back glide, jellyfish & back float, changing direction, treading, swim on front-combined arm & leg actions (15 ft.), swim on back-finning & sculling arm action (15 ft.) , swim on side (5 ft.)

Level 3 Stroke Development

Jump into deep water, kneel dive, rotary breathing, survival float, tread water, front & back crawl (15 yds.), butterfly kick (15 yds.)

Level 4 Stroke Improvement

Standing dive, swim underwater, back float 1 minute, open turn, front & back crawl (25 yds.), butterfly (15 yds.), breast-stroke (15 yds.), elementary backstroke (15 yds.), swim on side w/scissors kick (15 yds.)

Level 5 Stroke Refinement

Level 6B Fundamentals of Diving
